Leading for Cleveland Out and About

So you want to lead....
GREAT! Event leaders are what keep Out and About alive and growing. Obviously, if there are no leaders, then there are no events. New volunteers coming forward to help with leading and organizing events will allow us to offer more hikes, more bike rides, and a greater variety of activities.
If you have an idea for an event that you'd like to lead, here's what to do:
1. Send an e-mail to mail@clevelandoutandabout.org with the following info:
- event type (hike, bike, canoe, etc)
- date you'd like to lead it
- location
- general description
2. We'll work with you to fit your event into our schedule and send an experienced leader to assist you on your first lead.
3. Arrive at your event 10-15 mins prior to the start. Bring a copy of our release form with you (see above for link to PDF file) and have all participants sign it. This form completely releases you and Cleveland Out and About from all responsibility for the actions and safety of the participants.
4. After the completion of the event, give the completed release form to Jan and send a brief e-mail to mail@clevelandoutandabout.org with a description of the event and how it went.
