Sunset / Full Moon Hike

Description: Sunday December 3rd @ 4:30 PM
Sunset / Full Moon Hike
Acacia Reservation
Leader: Jan

Tonight – December 3, 2017 – the full moon is what we in the Northern Hemisphere call a Cold Moon, Moon Before Yule, or Long Night Moon. It’s also the year’s one and only full supermoon. In other words, it comes close enough to Earth (222,443 miles) to enjoy supermoon status.

We'll start out just before sunset to see how the Cleveland Metroparks is transforming this former golf course back into a wetland, meadow and forest habitat, and watch the full moon rise. The distance will be 3-4 gently rolling miles mostly on the all purpose path. Dogs on leash are welcome.
