Westside Cycling Trip

Description: West Blvd- Rockside Rd/Canal – Centennial Trail Cycling Trip

This cycling trip will start at the West Boulevard neighborhood and pass through the following locales:

-- West Side Cemetary
-- Cleveland Metroparks Brookside Reservation
-- Cleveland Zoo
-- Cleveland Towpath
-- Steelyard Commons
-- Tremont Neighborhood
-- West Side Market
-- Centennial Trail/ Cuyahoga River
-- Ohio City Neighborhood
-- Back to West Boulevard

Distance: 30 - 35 miles
Duration: 3 hours

What to Bring: Sunglasses, Water, Bike Helmet, Bike lock, and Energy Bars to refuel.

Participants may utilize my bike pump to inflate tires prior to trip. There will be stops along the way to acquire more water/gatorade if needed.

This cycling trip is for the serious cyclist-- There are three big acclivities during this ride (1) inside Brookside Reservation; 2) after passing the Cleveland Zoo to Denison Road; 3) after passing Steelyard Commons up to Tremont; 4) On the Centennial Trail. Individuals can ride or walk bikes at these sections.

On this ride we will use paved streets that cars drive on (some with uneven pavement and potholes), paved trails, and bike lanes. Road, Commuter, or Mountain bikes can be used on this trip.

For those interested, we can stop at Mitchell's Ice Cream on West 25th midway through the ride to get ice cream.
